Intellum Partner Education Webinars

Intellum recently ran a three part webinar series on partner education called Scaling Partner Success. Technical training conversations are often around customer education or internal enablement, but what about that third partner audience?

I attended all the sessions and wanted to share some of the key takeaways.

  • January - Boost GTM Success with Partner Education by Kevin Dunn at Airtable. Kevin clearly differentiated between partner and customer education, and presented a framework that balances customer demand and partner saturation that should help product education teams determine what to educate partners on. I liked that this session gave examples of how to decide on content format and creation, certifications, and governance.

  • February - Starting a Partner Education Program by Katie Bernal at alarm.com. Her presentation was largely focused on the 6 parts of a partner education program that leaders should consider. Hearing her story was helpful for a real-world example. In the Q&A session at the end Katie explained how to measure and communicate program success to the business using intentional storytelling.

  • March - Scaling Partner Success: Building Readiness Programs from Scratch by April Trask at Writer. April communicated a clear vision for operating as part of the larger partner ecosystem and not in an isolated education environment. I appreciated how April clarified the different types of partners and their different needs (such as solution partners), and discussed her “north-star metric” for partner enablement as a goal to consider.

I highly recommend watching these three webinars at this link.

I’m currently serving on a partner lifecycle task force at CSG so if Intellum announces any more in the series, I would definitely attend.
